“There is no difference in souls, only the ideas about ourselves that we wear.”
B.K.S. Iyengar
Let’s give back to our communities together.
Living yoga means living in ahimsa, or non-harming. I like to think of it as living with lovingkindness or ethical harmony with all beings. It means having compassion.
Yoga, whether in a chair or on a mat, is proven to increase self esteem and a sense of belonging. Everyone deserves to experience some spiritual enrichment and feel empowered to take their health into their own hands.
If your nonprofit organization or committee is doing something in alignment with ahimsa, I would love to join in on the fun. This could mean chair yoga for the elderly, stress-reducing breathwork for refugees, or a guided meditation at your AA meeting. Part of being a yogi means making yoga accessible to the poor, the disabled, the elderly, etc. and sharing the jnana, or the infinite wisdom, with anyone who will listen.
